John Webb Obituary

John Robert Webb, Sr., age 83, of Woodleaf, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center.

Mr. Webb was born July 29, 1941 in Cherokee County, SC the son of the late Agnes Willard Webb and Grover Cleveland Webb. He worked as a truck driver for 42 years until his retirement in 2002. John was a member of Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge and Morningstar Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on small engines, fishing, working in his yard and he loved the mountains.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 66 years Judie Potts Webb whom he married December 27, 1958; sons John Robert Webb, Jr. (Mary) of Salisbury, Bryan Keith Webb (Donna) of Fairfax, VA, Dennis Mark Webb (Angela) of Woodleaf and Terry Michael Webb (Cindy) of Cleveland; sister Madelyn W. Tate of Pacolet, SC; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 10-11:00 AM Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Summersett Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Summersett Memorial Chapel conducted by Pastor Ronald E. Young with burial to follow at Rowan Memorial Park.

Memorials: Morningstar Baptist Church, 175 Young Mountain Rd., Cleveland, NC 27013.
