Kathleen Miller Obituary

Mrs. Kathleen Simmons Miller, 81 passed away Wednesday August 5, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House with her family by her side. The family will receive friends Friday August 7th from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 in the chapel with Rev. Roger Bostic and Rev. Ricky Seymour officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of her son, Ricky Seymour in Rockwell. Mrs. Miller was born October 29, 1933 in Madison Co. Ga., daughter of the late Joseph Walker Simmons and Ida Anthony Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Johnny H. Miller; brothers, James, Jimmy, Wayne and Allen Simmons; sisters, Darlene Ross, Betty Jean Hilton and the father of her sons, James G. Seymour. Kathleen retired from Cannon Mills. She loved fishing and was always ready to go when a trip was planned. Coming from a large family, she loved being a part of the family gatherings. Kathleen was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Leaving to cherish her memory are Ricky Seymour and wife, Judi, Randy Seymour and Ronnie Seymour and wife Terri; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; sister, Jonell Rowland; brothers, Don, Mike and Tony Simmons, numerous nieces and nephews and her close friend, Phyllis Fink. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Carolina Lions Inc., 7050 Camp Dogwood Drive, Sherrells Ford, NC 28673. Condolences may be left at www.wilkinsonfuneralhome.com. Wilkinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
