Kathy Livengood Obituary
WOODLEAF - Mrs. Kathy Rogers Livengood, 57, of Woodleaf, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at her residence.
Born March 3, 1956, in Statesville to Margaret Elizabeth Kurfees and Fred Winston Rogers, she was a graduate of West Rowan High School. Mrs. Livengood worked as a nurse at Rowan Memorial Hospital and later at W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center and retired after 30 years.
Kathy was a loving mother of her two children. She enjoyed time at the beach, fishing with her husband, flowers and painting. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Gerry Lee Livengood; daughter Madison Kalynn Livengood of the home; son Jason Todd Williams and wife Conna of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; stepson Alan Livengood and wife Wendy of Salisbury; brother Freddy Rogers of Salisbury; sisters Judy O'Quinn and husband Charles of Durham, Kay L. Rogers and husband Jim of Falmouth, Mass.; stepgrandchildren Alex, Brittany, Sam and Maddie.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1-2:30 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 6) at Salem Lutheran Church.
Service: A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church.
