Kevin Ross Clay

1961 - 2016

Mr. Kevin Ross Clay, 55, of Charlotte, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at his residence. Born Aug. 11, 1961 in Atlanta, Ga., he was the son of the late Eleanora Rossi and Benjamin Clay. He was a graduate of Walton High School, class of 1979. Kevin earned his master's degree from Pfeiffer College where he played soccer. He worked as vice president of sales and marketing for Impact Technologies Group for 20 years. After he left there, he worked for Microsoft as Industry Marketing Development Manager for six years. Kevin enjoyed running marathons (Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Charlotte), he loved music, the Carolina Panthers and spending time with his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melinda Paganelli Clay; daughters, Lindsay and Madison Clay of Salisbury; brother, Stephan Clay Sr. (Anne) of Cedartown, Ga.; Rylan, Kaeleigh, Cameron; aunts, Angela (Paul) Filippone, Christine Coia and Gloria Rossi; along with numerous cousins. Visitation & Service: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Summersett Funeral Home, Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 in the Summersett Memorial Chapel with Chaplain David Montgomery officiating.
