Lisa Sifford Yates

Lisa Sifford Yates, 55, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018. She was born March 7, 1962, in Salisbury, to John York Sifford and the late Betty Delores Josey Sifford. Mrs. Yates was a 1980 graduate of East Rowan High School and retired from Cardinal FG where she was a Cold End Tech. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Kannapolis, enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading and traveling to the beach. She loved the time she spent with her grandchildren. In addition to her father, Mrs. Yates is survived by her husband Mark D. Yates, whom she married Sept. 12, 1982; daughter, Candace Marie Yates and husband Garret of Faith; brother, Michael Dean Sifford and wife Becky of Rockwell; and grandsons, Joshua David Yates and Noah Lynn Yates. Visitation: The family will greet friends and relatives on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell. Service: The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 in the Powles Staton Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Curtis Parker and Dr. Steve Tucker officiating. Interment will be held at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.
