Loree Clark

Loree Terry Wingler Clark, age 75, passed away on Friday, Dec. 31, 2015, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville, after a period of declining health. She was born Jan. 1, 1940, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late J.D. Terry and Ressie Maggie Mills Terry. Loree was employed as an assistant manager with Corner Mart in Landis, for 15 years. Her daughters fondly remember her love for babies, watching squirrels & birds in nature, and visiting the mountains especially during the fall of the year. She is regarded as the best mother and grandma that anyone could ever have. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Elliott Clark who died Feb. 17, 2001. Survivors include her four daughters, Kristie Clark and Cherrie Fink, both of Salisbury, Sandy Clark of China Grove and Breta Millard Brooksville, Fla; six grandchildren, Tabatha, Keith, Natisha, Christopher, Jonathan, and Jasmine; eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Claudine Tucker (Joe) of N.C., Patricia Collins (Paul) of S.C., and Evangeline Litton (Kavin) of Kan.; and one brother, Glen Terry (Beverly) of Fla. Visitation and Service: The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, officiated by Rev. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home.
