Michael Lynn Upright

Mr. Michael Lynn Upright, 57, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. Mr. Upright was born Sept. 6, 1959 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of Abbie Rice Upright and the late Ray Daniel Upright. He was a self-employed painter and loved to fish, especially at High Rock Lake. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Billy, Daniel “Dan”, Jimmy and Tommy Upright. Mr. Upright, in addition to his mother, is survived by daughter, Elana Upright of Albemarle; five sisters, Barbara Link, Shelia West and Linda Martin, all of Rockwell, Debbie Fesperman of China Grove and Lisa Ijames of Gold Hill; brother, Douglas Upright of Rockwell; and two granddaughters, Addie and Zoey Upright. Service & Visitation: A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. at God's Church of Faith. Rev. Jeff Upright will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
