Nancy Elaine Barringer

Nancy Elaine Barringer, 63, of Gold Hill, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born September 16, 1959 in Rowan County to Virginia Wells Hinson and the late Billy Hinson. In addition to her father, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Gail Deese and brother, Billy Reid Hinson, Jr. Nancy is survived by her mother, Virginia Hinson; five brothers; two sisters; husband Melvin Leanas Barringer; children, William Leanas Barringer and wife Leah, Joshua Adam Barringer, Haley Nicole “Nicky” Barringer; Robert Allen Barringer; and Sara Ann Deskins and husband Derick; grandchildren, Chloe, Mackenzie, Boone, Greyson Barringer and Carter Deskins whom she loved with all her heart. Nancy loved all of her nieces, nephews, and everyone of her children's friends became one of her own, feeding, laughing and loving all. Arrangements: The family will greet friends and relatives Friday, Jan. 13, 2023 from 5-6 pm at Safe Harbor Baptist Church, 270 Dunns Mountain Church Rd, Salisbury, NC 28146. The memorial service will follow at 6 pm at the church with Preacher Richard Wade Hinson providing the eulogy. Memorials may be made to Howell Care Center, 11950 Howell Center Dr Charlotte NC 28227.
