Nancy Ridenhour Obituary

Nancy Lois Fesperman Ridenhour, 81, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury. Nancy was born on Aug. 21, 1934, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Luther and Minnie Foutz Fesperman. Nancy was educated in the Rowan County School System and worked for Cannon Mills as an order coordinator. Nancy was a member of Rock Grove United Methodist Church and enjoyed country and gospel music. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Adam H. Ridenhour Jr.; son Barry Keith Ridenhour; brother Hugh Fesperman; and sisters Gladys Bailey, Edith Cozart, Nora Kirkman, Mary Johnson, Mae Tilley, Katie Cook. Nancy is survived by her son, Ricky Ridenhour and friend Darlene Goodson of Kannapolis; granddaughter Mandy Nester and husband Tim of Salisbury; and great-granddaughter Bailee Nester. Nancy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation: The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at Powles Staton Funeral Home. Service: There will be a Funeral Service Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum conducted by Rev. Mike Herring, pastor of Stallings Memorial Baptist Church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Nancy may be made to National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016; or American Diabetes Assn., 1300 Baxter St., #150, Charlotte NC 28204. Powles Staton Funeral Home, honored provider of Veterans Funeral Care is assisting the Ridenhour family.
