Patricia Ann Waiters "Pat" House

Patricia ‘Pat' Ann Waiters House SPENCER – Patricia ‘Pat' Ann Waiters House, a life-long educator and resident of North Carolina, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017 at the age of 62. She was called to sing in the heavenly choir. Pat is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lee House; her daughter, Jennifer Lynette House (Benjamin) and grandson, Benjamin Isaiah House Bowers; her father, Dr. Henry Belton Waiters and sisters, Yvonne Waiters-Dixon and Wanda Waiters; a host of other relatives and special friends. Her mother, Mrs. Nancy Ann Corry Waiters celebrated her home going on February 3, 2006. Pat was born in Rowan County on May 4, 1955. She received her early education and attended Shuford Memorial Elementary School in Granite Quarry, Monroe Street School and Salisbury High School in 1973. She received a degree in Psychology from Livingstone College and was very active in the Concert Choir, Psychology Club, Spirit choir, Inspirational choir, and a Youth Advisor. Pat's love for educating children, lead her to obtain a Masters of Education from UNC-Charlotte. Pat was a devoted educator in the Salisbury-Rowan School System and taught at Salisbury High and Knox Middle schools. Pat enjoyed singing in the church choir and educating children. She became a member of the Salisbury Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc in 2006. She was a lover of crafts and a skilled ceramics artist. Pat retired from the school system, enjoyed tutoring her grandson, sitting on her patio, and listening to the birds sing. She was a devoted sister, wife, mother, grandmother,niece, and friend. Pat was a spiritual lady and was actively involved in her church activities. She will be deeply missed by all ! Visitation and Service: Services will be held on Thursday, October 19 at Henderson Grove Baptist Church.
