Linwood L. Reinert

LINWOOD L. REINERT, 94, OF SASSAMANSVILLE Linwood L. Reinert, 94, of Sassamansville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the Lutheran Home in Topton. He was the widower of Hilda M. (Gift) Reinert. Born in Sassamansville, he was the son of the late Oscar S. and Martha (Kolb) Reinert. Linwood is a veteran of WWII having served as a medic in England from 1942 to 1945. He then worked at Bally Case and Cooler for 41 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Limerick Chapel and attended Colebrookdale Chapel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening and spending time with his family. Mr. Reinert was a loving father to his son, Donald, husband of Mary Jane, Bechtelsville; his daughter, Susan Groff, wife of Rick, Boyertown; five grandchildren, Katie, Donna,Thomas Scott, Jason, and Kylene; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Ethel Sands of Sassamansville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the celebration of his life at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, 111 North Reading Ave., Boyertown, PA 19512 on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 11 a.m. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
