Richard Alexander Webb

Richard Alexander Webb, 88, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Born in Rowan County on Oct. 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Webb and Alma Lingle Webb. Mr. Webb retired from Food Lion and was a life-long member of Salem Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council and cemetery committee. He was also a member of the Men's Chorus and Lutheran's Men Breakfast. He was a member of the Scotch Ireland Masonic Lodge #154 in Cleveland. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Bernard F. Webb. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lois Kluttz Webb; brothers, Bobby L. Webb (Jean), Johnny L. Webb (Ruth) and Jackie R. Webb (Kathy); one sister, Rachel W. Owen (Glenn); nephews, Robert Webb, Timothy Webb, Thomas Webb, Ronald Webb, Johnny D. Webb, Randy Webb, Mark Webb and Daniel Webb; and nieces, Gina Shuey, Carol Freeze and Suzanne McLimore. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Bernard F. Webb. Visitation: The family will receive friends Monday, July 17, 2017 from 9-10:45 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church. Service: The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday in the church sanctuary with Pastor Dawn Rister, Rev. John Elam and Rev. Clarence Sifford officiating. Burial will be held in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Mr. Webb's nephews.
