Robert "Bob" Coffey

KANNAPOLIS - Robert Dixon "Bob" Coffey, born September 9, 1941, died Sunday October 15, 2006 in Kannapolis, at the age of 65 due to heart failure. Please join us in celebrating his life at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis on Thursday, October 19, 2006.

Visitation will take place from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. and a short service will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Coffey graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in pharmacology. He practiced pharmacy and made his home in Kannapolis, NC. He enjoyed being a father to his only daughter, Lynnette Paige Coffey Bock. His quick wit and "dry" sense of humor will be dearly missed.

Mr. Coffey was the son of the late Dr. Cecil Coffey and the late Mildred D. Coffey of Salisbury. He is survived by his daughter; L. Paige Coffey Bock of Lake Norman; Grandchildren; Macey and Parker, Brothers; Ralph A. Coffey of Asheville and James C. Coffey of Shallotte.

Burial will be at City Memorial Park in Salisbury. The family will be at the home of his daughter, Paige Coffey Bock, at 17104 Grenache Ct., Cornelius.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com

I am sorry for the loss that you and your family are experiencing at this time. Your father always spoke so highly of you, loved you with all of his heart, and he was
so proud of those grandbabies.

Your father's passing has left a hole in the sweepstakes community that can never be filled.

I was always trying to get him to come to Raleigh for our sweepstakes meeting and he was always trying to get me to come up that way for their sweepstakes meeting. Sadly, we never met in person.
