Robert Weast Obituary
Dean was born January 28, 1957 in Charlotte, NC. He was the son of the late Robert D. Weast and Gerry Weast. He helped run the family dairy farm with his father until they sold the cows in 2005. Enjoying early retirement, he loved to travel, thoroughbred race horses, creating copper art, pencil sketching, photography, reading about history and biographies. He loved his UNC Tarheels and LA Dodgers.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sahria S. Weast; son, Clint M. Erwin and wife Amanda of Conover, NC; sister, Sharon W. Stout and husband Mark; sisters-in-law, Cochoan Jackson, Kristen Charles and husband Bill; Karla Worley and husband Gregg; father-in-law, Gene E. McCorkle; nephew, Ryan Stout and wife Lindsay; nieces, Victoria Litte and husband Jesse, Meagan Daly and husband Eric, Brittany Kirk, Maisie Worley, Josie Worley, and Anslie Worley; and 4 great-nephews and nieces.
No service will be held per Dean's request.
Memorials may be made to Old Friends Equine at oldfriendsequine.org or to Novant Hospice, 1229 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
