Sandra Driver Obituary

Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” Lowe Driver, age 70 of Landis, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in the arms of her loving husband, John. Born October 28, 1951 in Cabarrus County, Sandy was the daughter of Hazel Rowland Lowe and the late James Winton Lowe. She was of Baptist faith. After school, Sandy spent her career touching lives everywhere she worked. Whether at the family business, Lowe's Plaza Market or at what was then First Charter Bank, where everyone who came through the drive-thru was greeted with her infectious smile and radiant personality. She just made a difference in everything she did and with everyone she met. Sandy was a loving, kind and supportive person who had the gift of making you feel as if you were the only one in the room. Her presence was a big as life and she made you feel the same way, no matter what the circumstances. She truly “lit up” each and every room she walked into. Sandy was an accomplished pianist, loved music of all kinds and in her earlier years, was the organist at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church. She had a love for Willie Nelson and Elvis, loved going to see Motown shows and the symphony, her old 1971 Mach I Mustang and traveling ANYWHERE with the love of her life, John. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband and the love of her life, John Driver and her daughters, Tammy Talbert, Erica Kekaualua, Elizabeth Vaughan (Dickson), Emily Driver, Erin Driver (Jeffrey Crump) and Erica Driver. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jackson Hurst, Charles Vaughan, Thomas Vaughan, Rayna Vaughan, Eudora Boulware, Kaleb Crump and Keegan Crump, along with her brothers, Gary Lowe (Shane) and Mick Lowe (Regina). A Celebration of Life – Gathering of Friends for Sandy will be on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you kindly remember Sandy with memorials in her honor to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or to a charity of the donor's choice. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mrs. Driver. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be left for the Driver family at www.linn-honeycutt.com.

We remember the first time we met Sandy, as she
was loving, caring, and a dear lady. She brought
much happiness to friends, family, and most of all
to her wonderful husband, John.
Our heart goes out to John and all family members,
as they gather many memories she has left in each
Heart. May she Rest In Peace in the arms of her
Savior who called her to be with Him in Heaven.
God bless those who are mourning as we are
praying that their hearts will be mended with the
Love and Grace from our Lord.

I wish I could have grown up with Sandy. We would have been good friends and had so much fun together. She was always loving, caring, and easy to be around. She was also a brave person. I am grateful that we had some special years together. I will always miss her.
