Sandra Hamilton Obituary
Sandy was born June 5, 1941 in Colchester, VT to the late Beatrice Dubie Hamilton and Frederick Hamilton. She was a graduate of Calais Memorial High School Class of 1959. Sandy loved horseback riding and trips out west to various ranches, reading, knitting, playing cards, puzzles and bowling. She worked in the office for the State of New York for 36 years.
Sandy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving is her sister, Joan Hamilton of Salisbury, NC; brothers, Harry Hamilton (Linda) of Laurinburg, NC and Raymond Hamilton (Kim) of Clintondale, NY; nieces and nephews: Fred Hamilton (Dot), Debbie Nikolov (Stoyko), Dan Hamilton (Shannon), and Angela Ellis (Brian) and 9 great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4-6PM Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Summersett Funeral Home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Monday, August 11, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John Eckert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 375 Lumen Christi Lane, Salisbury, NC 28147 and the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, 1229 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
