Sara Lewis Obituary
She was born November 18, 1936, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Vera Alice Boger Lewis and Elbert W. Lewis. Miss Lewis attended Nursing School in Kingston, NY, and would remain there for many years working as a Registered Nurse, before moving back to North Carolina. After her move to Charlotte, she attended First United Methodist Church where she was active with the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Vera Boger Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rockwell, conducted by the Reverend Bruce C. Sheeks. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. A time of visitation will follow the service.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2070 Emanuel Church Road, Rockwell, NC 28138.
