Sylvia Harris Obituary

Sylvia Diane Austin Harris, 75, of Albemarle, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2022 at her home. Diane was born Aug. 19, 1946 in Stanly County, to the late James Brantley Austin and Earlene Hatley Austin. She retired from Dunlap Eye Center. Diane was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rockwell and a former member of the Crystal River Quartet. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Harris of the home. She is survived by her son, Jonathan Harris (Tori) of Rockwell; two grandchildren, James Jonathan Harris and Logan Aries Harris. Arrangements: Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Life Church NC with Rev. James Sharp and Rev. Jimmy Caines officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorials: Memorials may be made to, Life Church NC, 708 Jake Alexander Blvd. West, Salisbury, NC 28147. Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Harris family.

Sylvia and her husband Ronnie were daily customers at Charley's cafe. She was a sweet lady with a beautiful smile. I will miss both of them always.
