Ted Dry Obituary

Ted Edwin Dry, 84, of Kannapolis, passed away, March 21, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus.

He was born December 24, 1940 in Stanly Co. to the late Clegg Lee Dry and Vera Lowder Dry.

Ted graduated from A.L. Brown in 1959, He attended Pfeiffer College for a year and meet his wife Marcia, He worked for Cannon Mills as a loom fixer, He loved selling insurance door to door for Metropolitan Life, Ted and Marcia moved to Jacksonville, Florida and they lived there for 30 years, he was a member of Kannapolis Church of God, Ted loved going to Monday Night Men's Group, he also enjoyed fishing and playing pool.

He was preceded in death by a brother Felix Lane Dry.

Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 64 years Marcia P. Dry, sons, Jeffery Dry and Patrick Dry both of Jacksonville FL, daughters, Karen Owen (David) of Oakboro, Amy Dry of Jacksonville FL, Grandchildren; Erin Pierce (Adam), Clayton Johnson (Mary), Taylor Johnson, Patrick Owen (McKaela), David Dry, Evan Dry, Savannah Owen, Karley Dry, Great Grandchildren, Emme and Amelia Pierce, Holland Johnson, Jacie, and Maycie Owen.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday April 5, 2025 at Kannapolis Church of God, with Dr. Greg Sloop officiating, a visitation will be prior from 2-3 PM at the church.

Memorials may be made to Kannapolis Church of God, C/O Men's Group, 2211 W. A St, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
