Thomas Walker Obituary
Tommy graduated from East Rowan High School in 1970 and received a diploma from Rowan Cabarrus Community College for Machine Technology in 1971. He retired from Reynolds Aluminum/Ball Manufacturing in 2015 after 28 years of service. Tommy attended First Baptist Church of Rockwell, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to spend time with his family. He never missed an activity involving his grandchildren - he was their biggest fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of over 37 years, Charlene Robins Jones Walker; his step-father, Fred Misenheimer; and his sister, Barbara Ann Walker Goodman. Tommy is survived his two sons, Ryan (Michelle) Walker of China Grove and Travis (Alisha) Walker of Rockwell; a daughter, Abby (Jaret) Doty of Rockwell; a brother Ronnie (Pam) Walker of Rockwell; grandchildren Carson Walker, Kennedy Walker, Cooper Doty, Avery Doty, Landon Walker and Noah Walker; and a number of extended relatives.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 10:30am - 11:45am at First Baptist Church of Rockwell. A memorial service begins at 12:00pm, conducted by Pastor Matthew Laughter. Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children.
