Tony Roebuck Obituary
A graduate of Statesville High School and North Carolina Central University, Tony served honorably in the United States Army and was most recently employed as an electronic technician with the U.S. Postal Service. He was known for his exceptional technical skills, often found building or repairing computers with ease.
Beyond his career, Tony was deeply committed to helping others. He assisted fellow veterans with navigating their benefits and actively served in the NAACP and APWU Postal Workers Union, always championing the rights of those around him.
Tony loved his family, good food (especially country ham and North Carolina BBQ), scary movies, and music ranging from Sam Cooke to Tupac. A loyal fan of both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers, he brought energy and heart to every room he entered.
Those left to forever cherish his memories are his children, Janae Mayo of Ft. Washington, MD and Kendrick Lawrence of Statesville; siblings, Jeffrey Massey, Francis Massey (Frank), Jimmy E. Massey, Thomas Spinks, Christopher D. Mickle, Byron Mickle, LaSonya Massey, Marvella Massey, Ketha Nowland, and Angie Massey; granddaughter, Halajia Lawrence; cousins who were raised with him like siblings, Connie Woodbury, Tim Roebuck, Ronnie Roebuck, and Steve Roebuck; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Tony's life was a testament to service, strength, and love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Arrangements: Memorial Service Friday, July 25, 2025, at 12 noon in the Tubman Little Theater, Livingstone College. Military Rites, Honors and Interment in the Salisbury National Cemetery.
