Warren Bumgarner Obituary
Warren was born October 17, 1953 in Hickory, North Carolina to the late Hugh Bumgarner and Bobbie Jean Burns Bumgarner. He was a graduate of Granite Falls High School Class of 1972 and graduated from Appalachian State University. He was a college instructor at Western Piedmont Community College for nearly 30 years. Warren loved fishing and riding motorcycles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Bumgarner.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Micki Bumgarner; son, Brandon Bumgarner (Kelly) of Denver, NC and daughter, Ashley Bumgarner (Hunter Speagle) of Hickory, NC; grandchildren: Kylie and Brynn Bumgarner and Opal and Hamilton Hugh Speagle; siblings: Karen Hudson (Edney), Mark Bumgarner, Lana Beard (John) and Laura Bumgarner.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Friday (February 21) at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Mt Ulla, NC with a memorial service following at 2 PM; officiated by Pastor Robert McCarty.

"Darlin´ daughter"

My daddy was truly one of a kind. I am lost without him & miss him so much. He fought very hard after his double lung transplant & pulmonary fibrosis. I find comfort in knowing he is able to fish again in heaven...
I know he will watch over Brandon & I & most of all his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. I am so proud to be your Darlin´ daughter.
