William Brown Jr.

William Thomas “Butch” Brown Jr., 73, of Spencer, passed away on Jan. 23, 2022 at his home. Mr. Brown was born April 22, 1948 in Salisbury. He graduated from Boyden High School Class of 1966. He was retired from Duke Energy, Buck Steam Station after 25+ years. Currently he worked with Air Master Technologies. He was a Member of the Salisbury Elk's Lodge # 699 and the Spencer Moose Lodge #2482. He was an avid Animal Lover and he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Brown, Sr. and Peggy Nail Brooks. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Patricia Page Brown; son, Christopher “Chris” Brown; daughter, Laura Culp (Doug); and son, Michael David Farmer; sisters, Sylvia Brooks, Tammie Brown Moore, and Karen Brown Harding; brothers, James “Rodney” Brooks, Michael Brown (Jackie), and Steve Brown (Harriett); grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Breckin Garber, Carrie McGuffey (Alex), Jack Brown (Megan), Maddison Farmer, and Gracie Farmer; great-grandchildren, Nathan Brown, Isabelle McGuffey, Colton McGuffey, and Natalie Burnette; and his fur babies, Cassie, Roscoe, and Ace. Arrangements: There will be a Celebration of Life held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 120 Military Ave., Salisbury.
