William Gene Eugene Myers

Mr. William Eugene “Gene” Myers, 74, passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. Born June 5, 1947, he was the son of the late Albert Benjamin Myers and Rosa Mae Barnes Myers. Gene, better known as Catfish to many, was a 1965 graduate of West Rowan High School. He was a real estate developer and residential building contractor before his retirement. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and Scotch-Ireland Masonic Lodge #154. Gene is survived by his wife of 55 years, Susan Campbell Myers; daughter Kimberly Myers Ipock (Robert); son, Chris Eugene Myers; grandchildren, Tucker, Tyler (Zach Tucker), and Tinsleigh Myers and Aren Ipock. Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, in the St. John's Lutheran Church Sanctuary with the Rev. Dr. Rhodes Woolly officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in Peeler Hall. The family respectfully requests that masks be worn to the memorial service and the visitation.
