William Sifford

Mr. William Edwin Sifford, 57, passed on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at his residence. Born July 19, 1965 in Rowan County, he was the son of Florence Wallace Sifford and the late William Sifford. Educated in the public schools of Rowan County, he attended West Rowan High School. He was last employed with Superior Mechanical in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boyden Quarters. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Cathy Ford Sifford; children, Porsha Sifford Phillips (Darrell) and Ezekiel Clark both of Mooresville, and Quawan Sifford of Troutman; mother, Florence Wallace Sifford of Cleveland; siblings, Juanita Sifford and Tony Sifford both of Salisbury, Elliott Knox of New York, and Steven Cunningham of Maryland, six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Services will be Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Mt Zion Baptist Church, Boyden Quarters, with Visitation at 2:00 pm and Funeral at 2:30 pm. Interment following services in the church cemetery. Reverend James Summers, Pastor, Officiating. Masks are to be worn during the services.
