She was born January 9, 1938 in Elkin, NC to Sherman Asby and Stella LaVella Isaac Cheek. Mrs. Crawford loved to travel the world, having visiting 49 states, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends and loved everyone that she came in contact with.

She was a member of Milford Hills United Methodist Church in Salisbury.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her two sisters, Kay Cheek Hurt and Greta Cheek Cockerham; one great-grandchild, Caleb L. Wright.

She is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Crawford, whom she married September 22, 1990; two sons, Jeffrey Brigg Haynes and Clyde (Cheryl) Edward Crawford; daughter, Kamia Renae Haynes Barker; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Hazel Malane and many loving nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Wilma's life will be held at a later date.
