Allen Bethers Obituary

Allen Taylor Bethers Together Again HEBER CITY - Our loving father and grandfather, Allen Taylor Bethers, age 90, returned to our Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 5, 2006. He was born to Zaddock Zed and Mary Luella Anderson Bethers on June 6, 1915. He married his loving wife, Eleanor Smith on January 16, 1936, later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 21, 1948. They had three children, Bonnie, Barbara and Steve. Allen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked in the Park City Mines for 30 years and as a dairy farmer; he worked with the Daniels Irrigation Company, and belonged to the Daniel Cattle Association. He worked hard his whole life. He is survived by his sister, Millie Gurr; daughter, Barbara (Larry) Callister; son, Steve (Christine) Bethers; grandchildren: Vickie, Scott, Mary Ellen, Tony, Angie, Connie, Stephanie, Cody and Laramie; 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Eleanor, daughter Bonnie Jean (Carl) Simmons, three sisters: Carol, Ruby Plummer, Phebe Luella; and brothers Rex Bethers; great-grandson, Kai Allen Bethers. He will be missed and was loved dearly by family and friends. Friends may call on Thursday, February 9, 2006, from 6:00 - 8:00 am at the Heber East LDS Stake Center, 2400 South Mill Raod (1200 East), Heber City, and on Friday from 9:30 - 10:30 am prior to the services, also at the LDS Church. Funeral service will begin on Friday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Heber City Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, Heber City.

Allen was a great man. I remember him growing up in Daniel. He and my dad were cousins and friends. My condolences to the family.
