Anne Wright Smith

1919 ~ 2012
Anne Wright Smith, 93, died of natural causes on Friday, December 29, 2012 in Bend, Oregon.
She was born on September 7, 1919 to Leila Rich Wright and Clarence Edward Wright. She graduated from East High School and the University of Utah. She married Jesse Kimball "K" Smith in 1945 and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised four children on the slopes of Brighton, in Salt Lake City, UT and at the Watkins Creek Ranch in West Yellowstone, MT.
Anne was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Fort Douglas Country Club, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Mt. Olympus Bowling League and the Town Club. She and K supported U of U Gymnastics, Football and Basketball teams. She was a passionate bridge player, golfer, tennis player and an active member of the LDS Church.
Anne is survived by her three daughters: Janne Martell of ID; Julie Mannino of TN; Leila Smith-Daines of OR and by her sister Mary Erickson, of UT. She is survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband K, her son Kimball, her twin sister Kaye Pollock and sister Jane Bauter.
Memorial services will be held at the Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, on Friday, January 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service for family at Salt Lake City Cemetery. Anne's family requests donations be made to Aspen Ridge Memory Care (1025 NE Purcell Blvd, Bend, Oregon 97701).
