Avery Kertamus Obituary
1/20/1998 ~ 7/15/2013
Avery Ramon Kertamus sadly took his own life on July 15. Avery was lovingly known by his parents as "Monkey" and "Big Guy". Avery filled his family with more love and joy than the human heart can hold. His special smile, his deep love for his family, and his passion for his pets (especially his spiders and his three dogs) made him the joy of his family. Avery loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing with his dad, and lived for video games and hanging out with his friends (most especially his beloved siblings and cousins). Avery is so very missed by his family. His loss has created a hole in his family that can never be filled. We will love you always, Avery. Survived by: parents Jeremy (Nancy) Kertamus, Shari (Paul) Elliott, siblings Tabitha, Lucy, Trevor, Chloe, many grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah, with a viewing prior to the service from 12:00-1:15 pm. Online condolences at www.jenkins-soffe.com.

I'm hurt, angry, sad, and frustrated. The more time goes by, the more I forget what it feels like to be around you. I forget what it's like to give you a hug and to play with you. I haven't felt you around much, I'm not trying to push you away. I wish I knew how to change it. I miss and love you so much.

Man, where do I begin. When me and avery first met I already knew we were gonna be friends, over time we got to know each other like brothers. I knew his favorite movie, songs, colors about everything about him. I also knew that he was struggling inside and I let him know that I cared for him and loved him, I also let him know that I was willing to do about anything for him. He was also willing to do anything for me, over time I would hang out with him whenever I could because he was a nice, funny, loving person who loved his friends. We had great times together some that ill remember for the rest of my life. He was always willing to have a good time with me or anyone of his friends. Even in our last conversation he was joking around and laughing. Then after a 3 day river rafting trip, I check facebook, I see at least 3 or 4 R.I.P avery on my page later to figure out from another trusted friend of his that avery was done and he killed himself. The devestation was terrible for me I went out on the front porch and cried for the first time in 2 years. I stayed up till about 3 in the morning barely able to put nyself to sleep. I thought "why would my man do this? I was so sad to know that I will never get to hear him laugh, tell a joke, or even smile. I loved him like a brother, and did all I could for him. I now realize that he is able to rest now, and be in a much better place than here. To Nancy and Jeremy I am so sorry for the loss of your son, I can tell that this wil be harder for you than it is for me. If theres anything I can do please let me know. goodbye man, I hope you knew that I truly cared for and loved you man, you made a big impact on my life man. I do hope I can see you again.
