Betty Madrigal

Price, UT-Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Betty Medina Madrigal, age 78, passed away December 27, 2013 at St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City, while surrounded by her family.
She was born June 18, 1935 in Center, Colorado to Richard and Annie Atencio Medina. Betty married Bill Madrigal, December 24, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Betty was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price where she was an active member of the Spanish Choir. Betty loved to cook, especially pleasing everyone with her tortillas and chili. She loved spending time with family and friends, singing in the choir and playing cards. Betty always looked forward to the next fishing trip, yard sale or visiting the antique shops. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bill Madrigal, Price; three sons, two daughters and their spouses, Larry (Debra) Madrigal, Price, Barbara (John) Keyser, Holladay, Michael (Janel) Madrigal, Rifle, CO, Rudy (Michelle) Madrigal, Price, Sherry Forbes, Boulder City, NV; two sisters and two brothers, Rosie (Keith) Wilson, Torrance, CA, Henry (Carolyn) Medina, Visalia, CA, Willa Mae Medina, Roger (Carol) Medina, both of Redondo Beach, CA; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Don.
Funeral Mass, Friday, January 3, 2014, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service, Thursday evening 7:00 p.m. at the church in Price. Family will receive friends at Notre Dame Catholic Church Thursday and Friday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
