Beverly Jean Joseph, our cherished mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 1st, 2018, surrounded by the family upon which she centered a life filled with love.
Mom was born in Beaver, Utah on March 13, 1927 to Bill and Winnifred Nelson. She married her high school sweetheart, Keith Joseph, in 1945. Mom embraced motherhood, raising her four children with devotion. She was very accomplished on the piano and organ, with her favorite church calling being pianist, a role she served in for many years. Mom also embraced literature and reading her whole life. She had a competitive spirit, loving card games with friends and family, always playing to win. She also rarely missed watching her beloved Utah Jazz. Mom was the epitome of grace and beauty, embracing what it was to be a lady. She loved her husband dearly, and supported him throughout life. Mom also shared her love with an ever growing number of grandkids, great grandkids and even great-great grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Winnifred Nelson, her husband Keith, as well as her daughter, Susan Lauder and grandson, Ronald Markovich. She is survived by her sister Virginia Pinder, brother Jim Nelson, daughters Jeannie Owens and Kathy Hooton (Nelson) as well as her son Keith Joseph, Jr. (Jeanne). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren
The family would like to thank Envision Hospice and Sunrise Care Center for their compassionate care to mother in her final months.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 6th from 6 to 7 pm at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, (3401 S. Highland Dr.) followed by funeral services on Wednesday, March 7th at 1 pm, with an additional viewing an hour prior.
