Brad Railsback Obituary

Brad Railsback

11/09/1952 - 12/02/2024

Brad left us suddenly and unexpectedly after suffering a massive heart attack in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Granger High School in 1971, having lettered in baseball, and started a career as an iron worker. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, waterskiing, golf, playing pool and spending time with friends and family. He was very active and rarely missed working out, even while having chemo for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma several years ago. He was handsome, smart, witty and easy to spend time with.

He met the love of his life, Francisca Toro, while working on a construction project in Mexico. They married in 2005 and Brad loved her family as his own.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Shannon Ely and Brandon Railsback, his mother, Bobbie (Russ) Chaffin, his sister, Lori (Dennis) Whipple, granddaughter, Jenaylah Railsback, Francisca's daughter, Carmen (Gerardo), grandchildren, Renee, Ricardo, Martin, Yadira, Jasmine and seven great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, special aunt, Marlene Orr, cousins Linda Orr and Karen (Robert) Hemphill, nephew Col. Brian (Virginia) Campbell, great nephews Callum and Bodhi Campbell, Skylar (Sammie) Campbell (and family) and great-niece, Makenzie (Haydon) Gregg (and family).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Francisca, his father, Charles Railsback, Jr, beloved uncle, Gary Orr, nephew Adam Campbell, grandmother, Helen Nielsen and his dear friend Mike McGinnis.

A celebration of Brad's life will be held Tuesday, February 18th at 6:30 in the banquet room at Delton Lanes, 3544 W 3500 S, West Valley City, Utah. Please come share a memory, a laugh and any photos you would like to share and raise a glass to remember Brad.

What a wonderful coincidence to have met you again after 45 plus years. And the fun we had. Thank you for the laughter, the love, and the happiness. And for the birthday trip we took in November. And for all of the kindnesses you showed to your Mom and all the friends in Mesquite. You are missed. It was short, but precious time. Thank you Brad

I met Brad at Mad Mikes (Mesquite) for Tue night open billiards tourney. After just one evening, bs-ing info about he being a 71 grad of Granger High and I a 71 grad from Cyprus, we became good friends. We shared stories of Delton Lanes and knew many of each others friends. May his memory make his family

I met Brad at Mad Mikes (Mesquite) for an open billiards tourney. After bs-ing, and realizing he was a grad of 71 Granger High and I a grad of 71 Cyprus, we just naturally became friends. Whoever got to MMs first saved a table for the other. Will miss his friendship, nice guy. Peace be with those he leaves behind.
