Brian Hatch Obituary

Brian Edward Hatch

Nov 21, 1962 - April 28, 2024

Taylorsville, Utah-I was born Nov 21, 1962 to the best parents Marvin Louis and Ada Jessie Hatch. I had a great childhood and lived life to its fullest. I graduated Woods Cross High in 1981 and later on spent most of my career at McDonnell Doulgas/Boeing as a Tool and Die Machinist for 32 years before retiring in 2020.

I have had many awesome adventures in life. From the birth of my daughter Bayleigh in 1992, to meeting my wife Lori in 2008 and later marrying her in 2020 and the birth of my granddaughter Ada in 2021.

My passion is music and attending many concerts! I have done a little bit of everything in my life from skiing, snowboarding, camping, four wheeling, and (YOU IN) motorcycle riding. I've seen some of the most beautiful deserts and mountains you could ever imaging along with my FAMILY and FRIENDS.

Some of my favorite spots were:

Exuma Bahamas, Pitkin Colorado, Lake Havasu, Montana Glacier Mountains, 12 Mile Canyon, Justensens Flats, The Black Hills, Bear Tooth Pass, Washington down the Oregon Coast to the Redwood Forest and Highway 1 California, New Orleans, Nashville, New York, Mexico, Key West Florida, Moab, White Wash Sand Dunes, Million Dollar Highway Colorado, Antimony Utah, Mackay Idaho, Alaska, Nebraska, Hawaii and many more!

I will miss all of you and the great times we've had such as the many of Monsters of Rock Cruises, Car-b-Ques, Utah Car Shows, Las Vegas Rockabilly, Mackay Idaho Motorcycle Rodeos, Wendover Chreaster Trees, Moab Thanksgivings, Pub crawls, all the house parties, concerts and more!

I wanted to live life as if it was my last day!

Thank you to Doctor Heloisa P. Soares, MD, PHD, and Nicole G Orgain, PA-C, MPAS and all the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for giving the best last three and half years of my life. Couldn't have done it without you!

Until we meet again:

Wife: Lori Martin, Daughter: Bayleigh (Jonah) Leikam, Granddaughter: Ada, Stepsons: Sean (Beverly) Mitchell and there 4 children, Justin (Heidi) Mitchell and her son, Stepdaughter: Ashley Trujillo, Sisters: Patricia Walker and Chistine Putscher, Brothers: Rodney (Carol) Hatch, Warren (Jeanette) Hatch, Mother in law: Jerrie Troester, Brother in law: Marty (Vickie) Martin, Sister in laws: Sandie Martin (Ken Dix) and Vicki Crocker, and many awesome Friends

See you on the other side:

Parents: Marvin and Ada Hatch, Sister: Janis Lyday, Brother in law: James Walker,

Stepfather in law: Allen Troester, and many friends I am looking forward to party with.

Brain was an amazing friend! I don´t know where to begin, we met in 9th grade in Mr Trimming´s art class at WoodsCross High. We instantly began friends and continued friends for 46 years! We worked together at Slim Olsen´s Gas Station, Syro Steel, McDonald Douglas and Boeing. We had many great adventures together including daily boating trip and trips to Lake Powell, he truly enjoyed wake boarding. He was a great friend and was the Best man in my wedding! Brian was always the life the party!
You will be MISSED and I LUV YOU MAN!

Brian was such an amazing person. It was so much fun watching Brian and Lori in the adventure of life. What an incredible match. They went everywhere and if they weren´t going, everyone was at their house. If anyone lived he did. I loved how he was there for his friends and humbled that he included me. When I was in town he always made time to go to dinner. He never discussed the cancer other than to say he had it and then, it seemed, he ignored it. He never dwelt on it and went on full force with his life. He kept making plans to live big. At times, they were a few months out and I´d think "ouch, will he really be able to go?" Shockingly he went and kept going. Most people get the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and sit in their house to die. Not Brian. He is an example to follow: no matter what´s going on, live your life to its fullest.

Hi Brian! You were wonderful to work with and smart as a tack. I´m sorry you had to leave your family so early but hopefully you took a lot of pictures for your youngest to see and have to remember you by.

I know you believed in God and the Savior. Please say hello to him when you have a chance. Brad R

I first met Brian at a cruise night next to a gorgeous glacier blue 69 Camaro we became friends and over the years I looked forward to see him at the events and talking. Over the last few years I missed seeing him. His bike riding and illness kept him away. He always welcomed people with smile and kind words. I´m sure he is enjoying the ride on the other side pain free with his hair blowing in the wind. Rip my friend until we meet again
