Charles Donaldson Obituary

Charles Stuart Donaldson 1923 ~ 2006 Charles Stuart Donaldson was born April 14, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jesse Speed and Charles Donaldson. He passed away on October 24, 2006. Stuart worked for Mountain Bell for 42 years and still had many friends from his work. Stu loved the outdoors, and spent time fishing and hunting, and teaching his children and grandchildren to appreciate and respect nature. Stuart was also a handyman and remodeled and maintained a beautiful home and yard. Stuart is survived by his wife VerLayne Shingleton. They were married in 1957. He is also survived by three step children, Ric Gledhill (Kathy), Steve Mitchell, Orlene Earle (David), by one brother, Doug (Faith), and one grandchild, Kristy Spencer (William). Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr., Salt Lake City, at 1 p.m. A viewing will be held that day at 11:45 a.m. Happy fishing Dad, We Love You.

Uncle Stu was a very important person in our lives when we were young children. He was so fun and funny; always had time for us. He worked with our father at Mt. Bell and hunted, fished and skied with our family. We were just remembering him a few weeks ago...we should have been in touch.
We loved him very much.
