CHERIE GUNN Obituary

Cherie Truscott Gunn 1962 ~ 2009 Cherie Truscott Gunn - age 47 of St. George, UT passed away peacefully on the morning of October 4, 2009.She was born January 25, 1962 in Salt Lake City, UT to Alonzo and Frankie Truscott. She attended East High School and developed many talents which include, working as a radio DJ for several years, office manager, and a certified nail technician. Cherie was very easy going with an inner beauty that matched her loveliness. She was constantly upbeat, with a contagious laugh. She always had a kind word, even through her many health challenges. She enjoyed music, books, movies, the St. George Musical Theatre, many friends, but most of all her children and grand-children. Cherie married Grant Gunn, also of Salt Lake City, in 1990. They relocated to the St. George area in 1997. Grant was by her side at her passing. Cherie is survived by children: Benjamin Anthony Draayer, Amber Lynn Morris, Heidi Elizabeth DeFatta; brothers: Joel (Arlene) Farley, Kim (LuAnn) Truscott, Shawn Truscott, and son-in-law Corry Heppler; grandchildren: Jared Grant Morris and Lillian Heppler. The family would like to offer special thanks for the loving care and service she received from the staff at Ridgeview Gardens where she spent her final years. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at the Santa Clara 5th Ward, 3040 West Santa Clara Dr., Santa Clara, UT. Dear Grant and kids,
I'll never forget the last time Mark and I visited you guys in St. George..you all made us feel so welcome. I remember thinking Cherie and Grant are raising some fine children.
That's the best legacy ever.
Continue to be good people and honor your mom.
Grant, I think about you and the music often. Your Cherie was one of the girls I loved seeing during the jams.
