Colleen Trent Baier
In Loving Memory
Salt Lake City, UT-Colleen Trent Baier passed away December 20, 2014 with the love of her life, her husband James William Baier, at her side. Colleen and Jim were high school sweethearts who married on October 17, 1948 and recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. Colleen was born on June 4, 1926 to German Clyde and Julia Bergan Trent in Bottineau, North Dakota. After graduating from Bottineau High School, Colleen attended the N. D. School of Forestry and Vogue School of Fashion Design in Chicago. Colleen had a keen eye for fashion and enjoyed keeping up with the latest styles.
Colleen was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and lovingly made countless, exquisite meals for family and friends. Colleen liked to spend summers at her family's cottage on Lake Metigoshie, North Dakota, and enjoyed camping and hiking in Glacier National Park. She was actively involved with Job's Daughters for many years and served as president of Bethel 1 Mother's Club. Colleen was a long time member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, serving as president of the Great Falls, Montana chapter and Salt Lake City chapter. She participated in numerous community service projects in conjunction with Beta Sigma Phi and organized fashion shows to benefit the American Heart Association. Colleen particularly enjoyed being around people and listening to music. Colleen loved the Lord and attending worship services at First Baptist Church, Salt Lake City. She was blessed with many loving and caring friends and neighbors.
