Darrell Iverson Obituary

Darrell J. Iverson1917 ~ 2003   WASHINGTON TERRACE - Darrell J. Iverson, 86, loving husband and father, died peacefully at his home Tuesday, August 19, 2003 of heart failure, holding the hand of his wife Cleo, of 64 years. He was born January 30, 1917 in Ogden, a son of Charles W. and  Hattie Brown Iverson. He was reared and educated in Ogden, where he was a successful businessman, retiring at age 84. Darrell was a member of the Ogden Rotary Club, Board of Realtors, Chamber of Commerce, Pine View Yacht Club, Ogden Bay Duck Club and the Chairman of Civil Service Commission for many years. He enjoyed boating and fishing, especially at Jackson Lake in July. Darrell and Cleo traveled extensively throughout the world. Surviving are his wife, Cleo, of Washington Terrace; five children, Kent D. (Linda) Iverson, Sandy; Gary C. (Sue) Iverson, South Ogden; Craig F. (Pattie) Iverson, Ogden; Carol Ann Iverson, Washington Terrace; Val R. (Joan) Iverson, South Ogden; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grand-children. Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, twin daughters JoAnn and Jean Ann, and brothers Dale and Wayne Iverson. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., with Kent D. Iverson officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday Noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery. Email condolences to the family at:  [email protected]
