In the 9th grade I was the skinny new kid at Millcreek Jr. Darren showed me friendship and kindness which I have never forgotten. Over the next several years I saw him treat so many others with that same genuine niceness. My wife Deanna always loved him and remembers him as a gentleman who opened the doors for the ladies as early as elementary school. We will always remember him and his infectious smile.

I have not seen Darren for some time but still do not hesitate to call him a good friend. Whether it was Little League Baseball or High School Football you always wanted Darren on your team. It was the same with his friendship, if you were Darren's friend, and he had a lot of them, you knew he had your back. Camping, Hunting or just driving up the mountain it was always an adventure. I will never forget you Darren or the times we spent. Thoughts and Prayers to the Palmer Family

My love & prayers go out to all of Darren's family--I met Darren when he was a good-looking high school star athlete in 1984-Colleen and I worked together at KSL.
I was most impressed with Darren's warmth & smile...he still kept smiling even when things were tough--I pray that his family will know that at last Darren has earned that great reward of eternal life & can smile freely without pain!

Kent & family,

I met both you and Darren when I was working at A.C. Texaco. He always came in with a smile on his face and was easy to talk to. I will always remember the time he had the bunnies riding around in the truck with him...I thought he was a little crazy riding around with bunnies but then what I knew of Darren he was a little crazy and that's what I liked about him. You could tell from the moment you met him what a great person he was. I just wanted to share my memory with you because it thinking about it makes me smile and I hope you can all share your happiest moments of him together. My prayers are with you and your family.

I worked with Darren off and on for over twenty years.I met Darren and Ken a few years before working with them in Bountiful at the refinery. Few men had the talent that Darren did cutting concrete. We enjoyed talking about hunting and cutting concrete. He will be greatly missed by all. Penny and I wish to send our heartfelt condolences to the Palmer family.

Bob and Colleen,

Sad day for me and all of Darren's friends. He had a marked impact on all of our lives. His work ethic inspired us all when he had his health. He befriended me right away when I moved here in the 8th grade, and that made a huge difference to "the new kid from Canada". The memories I have of Darren in football, hunting, camping, biking, and other "extracurricular activities" will continue to make me a better person. Thank you for all you did for him, for me, and so many of Darren's friends. He holds a place in my heart that will live on......
