Dear Workman Sisters
It was sad to hear of your fathers passing, I indeed loved your mother and father, they were always kind and friendly to me, back in 1965 when I first moved into the neighborhood, you and your parents invited me to your Halloween party, do you remember that? And I have appreciated your family ever since.
As the young men of the ward Arlo, Stephen, Neil, Rodney, and I grew up, your father and Gene Tidwell, always played basketball with us, at night, at the church house, we had some great times and a lot of fun!
Its hard to see your parents struggle through the challenges of growing older, my own mother lived with alhimerz for the last 8 years of her life. But think of the joyous reunion with your mother that your father has had.
I'm sorry I was unable to come to the funeral, but hope that this message will convey my love for your family.
Sincerely,
Robert Straatman

Many great memories of the Workman family and great friends over the years. Our thoughts and prayers go to shelly, laurie, pam and val and their families at this time and the great comfort that he is with his sweetheart again that we all so loved. What a great couple and example they are to all of us.

We cherish each and every moment we spent with Dolan & Dixie and their girls and the entire Workman family. We have shared a lot of laughs and a lot or tears over the years. I have been blessed to be a sister to Dixie and a sister-in-law to Dolan. Being Aunt Carol to the four beautiful girls has been a very special experience. I love each of them and their husbands and children as if they were my own.

Dolan and Dixie where like the Ghost Busters. (Who are going to call!!) When ever you need something done or help with anything you would know you could call them and they would be there to help.

The passing of Dolan closes a chapter in our lives that was very dear to both Don & I and our family. May God bless his family and keep them until they are united...

Love, Uncle Don & Aunt Carol

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

Dolan and Dixie were our dearest friends.
Our children grew up together. We have fond memories of trips we took together.
Dolan finished our basement in Salt Lake and was so good at what he did. We will miss him.

Dolan was one of the hardest workers I've ever known. Growing up with the Workman family, we spent many Christmases and other times at their house. The brick work he did was always an example to me of what one can do when one has a vision of the end result and works diligently at it. I enjoyed his sense of humor. He was a joy to be around. He's now reunited with his sweetheart. He lived a faithful and wonderful life. My prayers and thoughts go to the family at this difficult time.

I remember Dolan finishing mom and dads living room and kitchen. He was creative and meticulous in his work. His yard always showed his attention for detail. I remember sitting in the small pond Dolan built in the back yard with all of the cute neighborhood girls. A man without guile whom loved all will sorely be missed. A quiet loving giant is being reunited with the love of his life. Shelly, Pam, Lori, and Val, may you be blessed and comforted at this difficult time.

Uncle Dolan was an incredible person. My wife and I enjoyed our visits with him when we lived in Sandy. His sense of humor made everyone feel at home. We always left smiling and laughing. Every Christmas we put up his ornament on our tree and smile. He will be missed.
