DON CHRISTENSEN Obituary

Don Christensen St George, Utah Don Christensen passed away peacefully, March 5, 2010 following a valiant struggle with diabetes. Don was born on June 9, 1937 in Richfield to Merrill Soren and Marjorie Parker Christensen. He graduated from Richfield High School in 1955. Don married his sweetheart Helen Naser, which was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Don and Helen moved to Salt Lake City where Don worked for Wycoff Company for 24 years making many lifetime friendships the family continues to enjoy. The last of his working years were spent employed by United Gaming and Cole Industries of Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2000, Don took a medical retirement and together he and Helen moved to St. George, Utah. Don had a great sense of humor and was loved by many. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends waterskiing, snowmobiling, camping and playing on the sand dunes in the dune buggy Don built. Many of the families fondest memories are time spent together at the family cabin on the west mountain enjoying the sites and sounds of nature. He is survived by his devoted loving wife of 55 years, three children; Scott (Penny); Susan (Gary) Olsen; Kelly (Wendy), seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister Ann (Scott) Tarbet and brother Kent (Debra). Preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be Wednesday, March 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West, Richfield, Utah. Graveside services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guest book at www.maglebymortuary.com

Dear Helen and Family,
I will always remember the good times we had at your home when I was young and always up to the cabins. Don always made me laugh when he drove us down that steep hill by the cabins. He was a lot of fun.
May his spirit always be with you. Bless your family at this time of sorrow and my God watch over all of of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I hope to see you all at the cabin again.
