Springville, Utah—Doris June Miner Harker, 93, of Springville, Utah died March 18, 2022 with her family by her side and her sweetheart waiting patiently in the wings.

Doris June was born October 22, 1928 in Long Beach, California, the youngest of Melvin E. and Pearl Christensen Miner's four children. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School, she left Long Beach to attend BYU, later graduating from UC Berkeley. While attending Berkeley she met Reed Harker, whom she married January 24, 1951. During their 56-year marriage they lived in Southern California, Salt Lake City, Michigan, New Mexico, St. George and Springville, Utah.

Reed preceded her in death as well as her parents, three siblings, and two little great-grandsons.

She is survived by her four children, Alan (Stephanie) Harker of Springville, Janice King of Clayton, California, Nancy (Dane) Calkins of Springville, and Jay (Marian) Harker of Longmont, Colorado, 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held for her on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the Hobble Creek Stake Center, 495 S. Canyon Rd., Springville. Please see Wheelermortuaries.com for additional information.
