Duane Folsom Hillam 1919 ~ 2006 Heaven has received a master builder. Dad is off to design and build the biggest bridge of his life. He was born January 23, 1919, in Amarillo, Texas, a son of LeRoy W. and Ethleen F. Hillam. He married Jean Irene Anderson July 16, 1941, in the Logan LDS Temple. After her death June 16, 1999, he married Suzan Ross Campbell March 27, 2001 and was later divorced. Degree in Civil Engineering and later became a licensed professional engineer. He completed 28 years of active and reserve duty and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1968. He liked to brag about being on the X Corps Pistol Team and holding an NRA Masters Card. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many leadership positions including Elders Quorum President, Ward Clerk, High Priest Group Leader and Stake Athletic Director for nine years. Duane spent over 20 years as a volunteer giving Income Tax assistance under the Tax Counseling for the Elderly Program. Teri, Laurie and Patti:
What a wonderful legacy your father has left here on this earth! I am so grateful your parents brought you into this world and we ended up being neighbors. You are great examples of what our Father in Heaven had in mind when he said "Love Thy Neighbor". Your Mom and Dad raised such great children and set such a good example for you all. I pray you will have peace always.

Dear Hillams,
So sorry for your loss and the void this will leave in your lives. What a great and wonderful reunion is taking place! What joy there is in the heavens! We loved your Dad a great deal. We have always had such great respect and admiration for both of your parents and the example they have given to all of us. We treasure our memories and associations with your family. You have been blessed with a wonderful heritage left to you by your parents. They showed you by thier example how to love, and to be loved. They epitimize the blessings and glories of the Gospel. We love all of you and pray for your comfort and peace at this time. We aren't sorry for your Dad, only for you and the void that can never be completely filled. May our Heavely Father's riches blessings be with you as a family, and as individuals.
Love, The Mathis'
