Dylan Emilio Hernandez passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017, he had just turned eighteen. This happened due to a tragic, terrible car accident. He was born January 28, 1999 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ginger Ann Bosen and his biological father. They were not close, but that actually turned out to be positive as Joshua Edwards took that place, and they had a great relationship. Dylan was an only child, doted on and beloved by his parents, his Grandfather David Bosen. His Grandmother Violeta Bosen Mena has also passed away, even though you never got to meet him Mom, I know how much you loved the idea of him. Dylan is also survived by his dear Aunties Heather Bosen and Elizabeth Bosen Denny, Uncle Mason Denny, Heather's partner Ryan Mattice, and Heather's family Linda Mattsson Blake and Ed Blake. He will also be very missed by his Edwards family: Jacque, Cissi, Val, Patti, JC, and Luke. In addition to many other extended family members and friends.
Dylan attended Ensign Elementary, Bryant Middle School, and West High School. He was leaning towards attending the University of Utah. He was active in the AVID program at school, lacrosse, and basketball; he also brought home a lot of amazing art projects. He was very interested in social activism. He really admired the lyrics and music of intellectual rappers such as Eyedea, Illogic and Aesop Rock because of that music's philosophical content, logic, and humanity. Dylan's favorite sports teams were the Utah Jazz which he looked forward to attending with his father, the New Orleans Saints, and he also really liked going to see BYU football games with his grandpa.

Thank you to the outpouring of support from the many family members, friends, amazing co-workers, Dylan's friends and fellow students, teachers, and principal. A viewing will be held at Russon Brother's at 255 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, on Friday, 2/24/17 from 6pm-8pm and Saturday 10:30-11:30am prior to service.
