Ella Jones Lockyer

Ella Jones Lockyer 1918 ~ 2004  ST. GEORGE, UT - Ella Jones Lockyer, age 85, passed away peacefully January 7, 2004.  She was born May 8, 1918 to Walter Melvin and Nellie Laney Jones in Kamas, Utah. At the time of her death she resided in St. George.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ella worked over 30 years for the Utah State Unemployment Services. She was well liked and loved by all who knew her for both her work ethic and her unique sense of humor. She has helped many friends and relatives without fanfare and will be sorely missed, especially by her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert and sister Shirley Mae Evans. She is survived by three brothers, Melvin "Bud" Jones (Lois), Merlyn P. Jones (Rosemary), Donald L. Jones (Ruthann) and 20 nieces and nephews. A short graveside service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday, January 10, 2004, at 11 a.m., under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary 435-673-4221.
