Eric Lynn Harmon

We lost a great man on September 16th 2016, our father, brother, teacher, and loved one, Eric L. Harmon. He was born on January 11th, 1951 in Vallejo California. Eric spent his life in pursuit of knowledge. He began this quest around the age of 10 reading every book written on success, business, and self-improvement. You would be hard pressed to suggest a book to him that he hadn't already read. His greatest desire was to "change the world". Eric has now accomplished this thru the information he has given to his children, friends, and business associates.
Eric was diagnosed with lung cancer on August 1st 2016 and then lived just seven weeks. He was playing tennis, which he loved and excelled at, weeks before his diagnosis. He was well known at Vallejo High School for his excellence in tennis winning many if not all his tournaments.
Eric was a business student at Solano Community College when he won the national title in Restaurant Marketing/Management at the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) competitions in New York City in 1962. He went on to own many businesses including co-founding Pier 49 San Francisco Sourdough Pizza, and coached others in making their businesses successful.
Eric will be remembered for his jokes, humor and of course his dancing.
Eric leaves behind a former wife, Mary Ann Harmon, son Christian Eric Harmon, son Mathew Adam Harmon, daughter Heather Ann Harmon, daughter Cassidy Nicole Harmon, step-daughter Andrea Lynn Seeley (Larry), and step-son Justin David McEwan (Stacy) his sister, Karen Harmon, brother Robert 'Jeff' Busch (Alison), brother Craig Busch (Lisa), brother James Busch Sr., brother John Busch, half-sister Holly Nelson, and half-brother Tracy Harmon. He was preceded in death by his parents Alvin Leroy Harmon, Joan Alice Jenson Busch, and nephew Kenneth Maxwell Rusk.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 24th 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Butler 10th Ward (Greenfield Chapel) 6600 Greenfield Way, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. You can meet with family prior to the service from 9:45-10:45 at the Greenfield Chapel.
We would like to thank David and Marcia Stapley for all the years of friendship shown to Eric and especially these past two months. You are both angels.
