Arlene and Family When you gave us the news of Genes passing we were deeply saddened.. I would of never guessed... He was so strong, mind, body, and soul. He was always the adventurest (remember climbing lilly lake) our many camping and boating trips...cut way to short! He always had a prank or a joke, life of the party and a laugh you knew Gene was around. He was always testing his strenght and manhood!! Im laughing at myself now because I can hear Gene saying.." Debbie... now dont go saying that about me" and then laughing. Even through the miles and from childhood living in West Valley, to all the moves both familys have made in the years you all are always in our thoughts. And Gene was a family man always taken you all where ever his next adventure was. You all had a very special relationship. We want you to all know that while Gene is away.. you have Family and Friends here to love and comfort you. We know he is riding into the Harley sunset and he will be waiting for all of us to join someday..Then he will say "Let me take you on the next adventure!" To all the Carlston's I remember that sweet little guy and the 1st time I said hi to him. Genie was one of Aunt Maurine's dear ones oh how she would go on about him. I know he will be greatly missed by all.

Kimmie, Stacie, Arlene... I am so sorry about Gene... he was like another dad to me :) I am sorry I couldn't be there I lost my brother on Thursday! It is just so shocking... I just want you guys to know that I love and miss seeing you. My mom sends her love also....

Many, many years ago we remember Ugene and Arlene driving up Fairview Canyon to go camping in a old white VW Bettle. He loved the outdoors then and always. He will be missed by many. Our love and prays are with you all. Love Mike and Donna Kushlan

"Its not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years." I believe that Gene was the meaning of this quote. He has so much to be proud of. And I know, that if you were to ask him about his life he'd say he had one hell of a good one! He has a beautiful family. a loving wife and his kids who will miss him dearly. I am so deeply sorry this has happend to you all, none of you deserved it. But keep your heads up, and your hearts strong.
Grief is like the ocean. It’s deep and dark and bigger than all of us. The waves can overtake you sometimes. But yet, still have the hope you'll reach the otherside someday. I honestly believe this. I apologize I wont be able to make it to celebrate his life. But I send you all my best, and my love.
