Born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Evelyn Berrell Edwards passed away at her home in Sandy, Utah on September 2, 2021. She died of lung cancer. She was the daughter of Charles I. and Vivian K. Berrell.
Evelyn is survived by the love of her life, best friend and husband of 54 years, John Edwards of Salt Lake City; daughter Elizabeth Edwards and husband Dwight Tewes of Durango, CO; and her son, daughter-in-law and grandson of California.
Evelyn was accomplished at needlework, earned a Black Sash in tai chi and cherished a good book; loved traveling and was a devoted member of Chapter X, P.E.O. She was most certainly the best skier and golfer in the family!
A Celebration of Evelyn's Life will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City. Please share your memories and photos with her family at www.starksfuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1275 East Fairfax Road, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.

John, may you have comfort in the memories you shared with Evelyn for so many years. I met her through Liz when my daughter joined Job´s Daughters. Evelyn was gracious and welcoming to both of us. There are wonderful memories of activities and times spent together. My condolences to you, Liz and Matt.

I met Evelyn when she was director of personnel at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Utah many years ago. I was so impressed with her professionalism and the classy way she dressed. She was such a kind, pleasant, caring lady. I have often thought of her when I remembered my early years at BC/BS.
May God bless her family and keep them in His arms at this time.
