Everett Scott Obituary

Everett   Neil Scott "Big Red"  Everett "Neil" Scott passed away April 9, 2003 at a local care center.He was born April 13, 1923 in Copperton, UT the son of Walter Earl and Rettah Marie Wages Scott. Married Vivien Irene Baxter June 9, 1959 in Las Vegas, NV. He graduated from Jordan High School, 1941, where he played on the State Football Championship team. Graduated from the U of U where he received a degree in Engineering. Neil served in the US Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was a Master Mason of the Canyon Lodge #13 York Rite and Shrine. Also a member of Christ United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School. He retired from Mountain Bell where he worked as a Yellow Pages sales rep, achieving Salesman of the Year honors. Neil loved spending time at his cabin in Beaver Springs and was fun loving with a wonderful personality. He loved to collect pigs as a hobby and had a large collection. Survived by his wife, Vivien; children Neil (Joann) Scott, Bruce (Julie) Scott, Carolann (Keith) Ludlow, Rodney V. Harper, Michael (Carol) Harper, Linda (Leanard) Costanza; special son, Dave (Jan) Lehmann; 31 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchild-ren; two great great-grandchildren; brother, George Richard Scott; and brother-in-law, Ed Martys. Preceded in death by parents, one brother, and one sister. Services will be Mon. April 14, 11 a.m. Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10550 S). Friends may call Sun. 5-7p.m. Jenkins Soffe South Valley and Mon. one hour prior to service. The family wishes to express thanks to the nurses and staff at Sandy Regional Care Center for their care and concern.
