What a great man to have known throughout your entire life. Grandpa Rupp always knew what exactly to say or do to make you smile and brighten your day. He had a really great testimony, and he taught me so much while I was with him. So many memories and experiences, that I would probably never have if he hadn't taught them to me. Grandpa also had a spirit that made you want to be with him, and we will never forget him.He was my hero, he was awesome, I love him, and I will miss him so much! Love you always Grandpa!

Dear Dixie and Family;
We feel terrible about the passing of Keith. What a wonderful friend and example he was to us and our children. Always willing to help even when he had so much to do himself.
We cherished the good times we all spent together, going boating, camping, and out to dinner. Every event was a special occassion for us. We haven't seen much of each other for sometime but you and Keith and your family has always been in our minds and hearts. We know he has past on because his work was excellantly done here and was needed for his next assingnment. I know all that knew Keith will miss him dearly. We wish you Dixie and your family peace and comfort knowing all is well.

Dear Rupp Family,
Darell and I worked with Keith at AMOCO for many years. He was always so kind and soft spoken and yet commanded respect and performance from those who worked for him.
Since our retirement, we have seen him at the temple and have admired the countenance he projected, and the sincerety of his firm handshake. We always knew he was a great man at work, but it has been revealing to read the entries and realize how much he was loved by his family and his ward and stake family as well.
He will be missed.
Our love and condolences we extend to all of you at this time of separation.

I will always remember when grandpa and I started "life support", we had so many laughs and jokes, but he taught me about the important stuff in life too. I am so grateful to have such an amazing grandpa to set a wonderful example for me of how i should live my life. I love you!

Dear Rupp Family,
We were so sorry to hear of Pres. Rupp's death. We didn't hear until a week later. He was such a marvelous man and wonderful example to everyone. It was such a joy and pleasure to serve and learn in the gospel with him. Both Dixie and Pres. Rupp taught us so many things with their great love, comapssion and example. Pres. Rupp truely was the example of "unconditional love." They always had time for others and their concern for others was genuine.
It will always be a blessing in our lives to have the memories of Pres. Rupp.
Our thoughts and prayers go to each of you as well as our love,
Karen & Rex Roblyer

Dear Dixie,
It seems strange now on Sunday morning. Not to see President Rupp coming around to greet everyone at sacrament meeting.
We were always impressed by the way he would greet Wally. With his hand extended he would greet Wally with a "How you doing kid?" And speak to him as if he had not seen him in months. We found this interesting since they lived next door to each other.
President Rupp had a profound influence on our lives. When Ed was in the hospital battling cancer. It was he and Kerm Lemke who came to the hospital to give a blessing. Also during the recovery it was "Pres." who came over on his lawn mower and cut our lawn. We had to do some investigating to find out who to thank for this kind act.
It appears that we are not the only ones who have benefited from this great man's kindness. We have so much to be thankful for because of our association with you and President Rupp.
He will be forever in our hearts.

Dixie and Family:
A flood of memories fill our minds at this time. I remember so many experiences as a young man. I remember Keith and wally playing basketball at the old home. I remember how excited I was to see Keith come home after serving his country. I remember when Keith brought Dixie to church for the first time and the smile both had on their faces. I remember Keith doing his best to keep me straight in my teens. I remember Bishop Rupp greeting me with a satisfied smile when I returned home from my mission. I remember Bishop Rupp interviewing my wife and I when we were to be sealed in the temple. I remember building our new home and Keith carefully running all the wiring. I remember working side by side with Keith at the shop (his second job) and the discussions we had about more serious things than the work at hand. I remember how eloquently Keith spoke at my fathers funeral. I remember my cousin Keith telling me “a young child should be under his or her mothers wing during those early years”. I remember how I admired Keith’s conduct at work and elsewhere. And most of all I remember how Keith loved Dixie and his family, I always felt reverence when Keith uttered Dixie’s name. You were always his sole mate, a queen in his eyes Dixie. For these and many other things we will always be grateful. In my eyes Keith will remain an admirable legend, a man who lived his religion at all times and cared for his family, rather it was immediate, ward, stake or otherwise.
Our prayers are with you and your family Dixie, you’ll have him forever!

Dear Rupp Family,
On behalf of my father (Emery) who worked with your father and uncle at Amoco Oil, we give our condolences to you.
My father once told a humorous story about your father that I thought you would like to hear. Your father, Uncle Wally, and another man used to car pool to work. One morning they were stopped by the police who suspected the truck they were riding in was involved in an armed robbery. They had your father, uncle and other associate get out and assume the positions to be arrested. As they were all talking and explaining where they were at during the robbery and where they were going, soon the police realized their errors and let them go. Needless to say, this co-worker of your father and uncle didn't want to let it go but use your dad's position in the church as stake president to kid him a little that day. He told your father had he known what they pulled him over for he would have confessed just to see a stake president arrested for robbery. It would have been worth it. Of course, he didn't and your dad's reputation stayed in tact. I have laughed at the story so many times as it makes me realize how much humor can make even the darkest times look brighter.
My father speaks highly of your father and uncle and wishes you to know that we are thinking of your family at this time.

Dear Keith Rupp Family,
When we learned of Bishop Rupp's death our hearts were broken. A flood of happy memories of our days in Taylorsville 2nd Ward came. When we moved to Taylorsville in 1966, Larry looked forward to being part of Bishop Keith Rupp's ward. Larry had a lot of respect for this good man. Always Bishop Rupp treated Larry with complete respect. Always, Sister Dixie would be there in the row just a head of us with her handsome and perfectly groomed sons. Always she welcomed us with kind words and a smile. I came to depend on that weekly lift.
Bishop Rupp is truly a great man and will continue to be an influence in our lives. May Heavenly Father bless and comfort you. With our love, Larry and LaDean Rupp, Tremonton, Utah

We thank you and your dear, sweet husband for your kindness through the past 30-plus years.

Dear Rupp Family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of "Grandpa" Rupp. I know he wasn't my grandpa but those years of living at BYU and spending dinners in your home sure made me think of him like my grandpa. He was always so welcoming, comforting, cheerful, and a great example of someone who loved and worked hard for his family and the Gospel. I'm sure he's working hard still.... My condolences and love to you all!

President Rupp was my first home teaching companion. I fondly remember visiting many of the older couples in the 20th Ward on our monthly visits. They would discuss how children and grandchildren were doing and problems that arise with old age and then turn to me for a lesson. He was my companion from the time I was 14 until I left for a mission. When we spoke he made me feel important as we discussed what was happening in my life. I felt he was concerned about me and my priesthood responsibilities. Along with my father and grandfathers, President Rupp has always been an example of honoring and fulfilling priesthood responsibilities and became a measuring stick I compare myself to.

Dear Todd,
If you found a picture of President Rupp next to the definition of charity that would be very appropriate. He was a wonderful example of kindness and peace. I will hold sacred the things he did for me as a young man. May the sting of death be swallowed up in our belief in this wonderful plan. God speed!!

Though my time knowing Grandpa Rupp was short, the impact was great. He was a good man, who was quick witted, but slow to anger. His gentle and playful nature will always stand as the ideal. I truly became a better person when I was with him, not because I really was, but because he made me feel like a better person. I love and miss him. See you later Granpa Rupp.
