Uncle Shorty was how I knew Francis Hilthon Chapman. He was a great friend of mine. He even sang a solo at my wedding. He was my war hero, and great friend. He bought me a chemistry set that had a great affect on my life and my love of Chemistry. In short he spoiled me. I remember fishing with him until midnight once. Everyone thought we had drowned and came to rescue us. I remember everytime we would stop by Uncle Shorty's on the way to Salt Lake he would insist that we share some of his hard earned trout with him.
We suffered together when Scott and Kelly were killed. We both became active in the church together and I remember Aunt Thelma and Uncle Shorty sharing their mission experiences as I was getting my footing in the gospel. He knew me as Kenny and I felt that was a name of great respect. He always made me and my family feel welcome in his home.

Cathy,
I'm deeply sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my father in June, and I know there will be a void in your life that will be hard to fill. You are in our prayers.

Uncle Short we are going to miss you and your love that you showed to all.
You gave me some great memories as I grew up and had all of those years hunting with you. I also learned a lot from you and all of the others that were there at the time.
Aunt Thelma, You were so lucky to have Uncle Short as your eternal spouse. May the Lord bless you and your family with the blessing that all of you need at this time. He will allow you and your family to feel His love for all of you in this time of need.
Love all of you,
Dennis Wilson
